Finally

It is already April and I just now have a finished project.

I showed you this quilt as a top earlier this year.  The other day I decided I needed to try out quilting with my new machine.  It has 3 speeds...I chose the slowest.  I did free motion quilting around the stem, leaves and flower.  I was so happy with the results.  Okay they weren't the best.  I'm pretty rusty with FMQ.  But the stitches were all the same size and the back of the quilt looked good.  Then I did straight stitching around the coin strips.  This was actually finished on March 31.  So it will be my March mini quilt.  This is a Cheri Payne pattern.

I have the top half of the "Wedding Quilt" sewn together.  The second half is on the design wall.

Today I plan on getting this sewn together and then I can put both halves together.  Next step is to quilt it.  The blocks are 12".  I have till the 22nd of this month to get it finished.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hugs, Cathy

A great little finish.
I am really liking the wedding quilt blocks. The three squares between blocks is a unique and pleasing setting!

Your Cheri quilt looks oh so nice on the hanger. I haven't had a finish in a while. It gives a good feeling when that does come to fruition. I have not sewn in a number of days. Company here.
