Well, Karen and I are half way done with our sew along. This block starts the third row of our quilt.
This block reminds me of a Pennsylvania Dutch motif.
I'm working on Barbara Brackman's Antebellum Album. This is the third block.

I was going to English paper piece this block but didn't want to do all that hand sewing. Instead I made an eight pointed star and appliqued the hexagon in the center. This is a fun sew along.
Well the last of our snow finally melted yesterday...due to rain. It rained all day yesterday and so far all day today. They had to postpone the Detroit Tigers opening day due to the rain. Oh well....
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving such nice comments.
Hugs, Cathy

I like your block. Brighter than mine and I like the look. I was not paying attention to the date and had forgotten to get my post ready for this morning. Luckily, I saw your post and was reminded to do that.
Love your appliqué block. Nice pinks in the star block.
Oh yeah....another row!! The block looks great. I also like your star block.
Lovely - yes it looks very Pennsylvania Dutch! Love your star block too. Do you think it will ever warm up, lol? Shivering in my jammies today....

Have a wonderful Easter!
It does look very much like folk art--so cute! That star looks pretty challenging, but you always find a way to get 'er done!
Two great blocks! Great creative approach to the second block.
Cathy preciosos bloques.
Me gustan los dos.
Buena semana
