Ella's Quilt

The quilt was delivered so I can now show you Ella's Quilt.

I was so happy with the way it turned out.

But what is most important is my daughter-in-law Amanda loved it.  This is her with the quilt.  I washed it before I sent it to her and it is soft and cuddly.  I love how it crinkled up.

That's it for today.  I'm headed to my sewing room to see if I can make some magic out of some fabric scraps.

I've Been Better

But I've also been worse.  Thanks goodness I'm starting to feel better and am getting some sewing done.

First off I got some blocks sewn for the Ohio Sampler.

Sweet Gum

Ohio Star

 True Blue

I made this block in place of Star and Crescent.  The block was a bit too difficult and since I'm still not up to par I needed something easier.

Be sure to visit KarenLori, Luann and Nancy and see their versions of the blocks.

I have a small finish to share.

T is for Temperance.  This is just 12" and will be displayed on my table frame. It is the April quilt for Huckleberry Stitches Sew a Long.

With renewed energy I started working on a new quilt.  Here is the section I have up on my design wall.

It is going to be a lap quilt for my granddaughter.  Lots of bright colors.

Well I finally finished Ella's quilt.  I have mailed the quilt to my daughter-in-law and will post a picture of it after she has received it.  I have another quilt in the works for them using the same fabrics.  It will be a Mommy and Me quilt.

I hope you are having fair weather.  We have had snow for two days in a row. It's not sticking but the cold weather is here to stay for a while.  I watched it snow during most of the game.  Come on sunshine and warmer weather.  It sure would help me feel better.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hello Sunshine

It's so good to see you again.  However, I've not been able to enjoy you as much as I have wanted to.  I've been under the weather for a couple of weeks and finally went to the doctors.  Sinus problems, bladder problems, sugar levels high and back problems.  I feel like I'm falling apart...lol.  Doctor asked me what was wrong and I said it would be better to tell her what wasn't.  Starting to feel a bit better so hopefully I can get some sewing done.

I did finish hand quilting the baby quilt.  Pictures to follow after I send it out.

I have a T for tea mini put together and hand quilted.  I need to do the binding and will post a picture then.

I finished 2 applique blocks for the Ohio Sampler QAL.

This is my Ohio Rose.  It is a little wonky but I love it.

And this is Old Tom.  The pattern was drafted by Karen from Log Cabin Quilter.

Since I'm feeling better I'm hoping to get some more blocks made.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Monday, Monday

So good to be......sitting at my sewing machine.

I have finished 2 more blocks for the Ohio Sampler Quilt.

 Pine tree

This was a little complicated to figure out but once I did this block went together so easily.

Double T

I made this block this morning.  I'm about 3/4 of the way done with the Ohio Rose block.  I'm still behind about by 6 blocks....will I ever catch up?  Oh well no pressure here.  Quilting is suppose to be fun right?

Be sure to drop by Lori's blog and Karen's blog to see the blocks they have made (these are some of the blocks I'm behind on...lol).  They both do such beautiful work.

I got one more block finished for the Jeni from the Willow's quilt a long and I have 2 applique blocks prepped.

Well, the sun is shining once again although it is cool out.  There was frost on the windshields.  Today is the Detroit Tigers Opener.  So I will be glued to my TV and getting some sewing done.  Enjoy the day.

Hugs, Cathy
