It's that time again

 Time to share some more projects I've been working on.

1.  Monthly Mini.  I chose a Jan Patek pattern.  I made it just before Easter so I could hang it on the wall for Easter.

Isn't it cute.  I chose to use a gray print for the inner design.  Be sure to visit Wendy @ The Constant Quilter.

2.  April APQ UFO is a block of the month by Aunt Em called "September Sun".

I had 3 columns finished and needed two more columns.  I now need to find a backing fabric so I can get it quilted.

3.  Aviary BOM

I'm loving how this block turned out.  It is also the block in my header. 

4.   Prairie Flowers by Joe Morton.

This is a quilt I have been wanting to make for years.  I knew I had the book but couldn't find it.  I looked high and I looked low.  I finally found the book in my bedroom.  It was in a pile of books I wanted to read.

5.  This is a sneak peak of a quilt I am making for a Christmas gift.  In fact I am going to make 2 of them.  The top is finished.  From the picture below can you tell what it will be?

Call me crazy, but I love it.

Speaking of crazy...it's the only way to describe our weather.  We went from 40 degree weather to 80 degrees the next day and then back to the 40's again.  The last couple of days have been in the 60's so I'm hoping Spring is finally here.

End of April

 Boy did this month fly by.  We are ending the month with April Showers.  I hope it brings May flowers.

Here are some projects I've been working on.

1.  Monthly Mini.

I really enjoyed making this one.  The flying geese are trimmings from my Ready for Spring quilt. 

2.  Celebrating Mrs. Brown.

I needed a simple block to make this month.  The original block was just too complicated.  I have no qualms about substituting blocks.  After all it is my quilt.

3.  Mrs. Lincoln's Quilt.

I'm getting excited that the end is coming.  I love all the quilts.  My friend Julie at juliekquilts.blogspot.com is also making this quilt.

4.  Aunt Em's September Sun

This is a new BOW that just started.  Since Autumn is my favorite time of year I just couldn't pass this one up.

I finished up more Pat Sloan's Home Is blocks and Socialities blocks but i didn't get photos. 

The APQ UFO for May is Number 9.  That happens to be my Bringing Home the Tree Quilt.  I only have one row made and need to make an additional 3 rows.  I hope I can get this one done. 

My UFO for April was Barbara Brackman's Yankee Notions.  I did get the top put together with sashings and borders.  I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.
