Tired Hands

My hands have been bothering me.  I have tremors and numbness.  So my doctor sent me to a Neurologist.  He did an EMG.  Sent me to a hand surgeon.  The outcome is I have to have Carpal Tendon Surgery on my right hand.  It is scheduled for March 13.  Luckily I am have a scope surgery.  The doctor told me I will only have a 2 to 3 day down time.  After that I will be having the same thing done on my left hand.  I am so happy that I will have minimal down time as I have so many projects to work on.

Speaking of projects....   Here is what I have been working on.

Here is my Sally Post block #12.  I have 13 and 14 prepped and ready to go.  I am working on the 3rd block for my Red and Green quilt and will show you my progress soon.

Next up is my Friendship blocks.

Here are blocks 21-28.  I only have about 150 blocks to go...lol.  I think I may make a smaller quilt.

Finally up....  I have all the blocks sewn for my Cross Terrain quilt.  I am going to put the blocks up on my design wall later today and start getting the quilt top sewn.

I am excited...Friday my son, daughter in law and granddaughter will be coming down.  My granddaughter Ashley will be participating in a Hockey Tournament.  I love watching her play hockey.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs, Cathy

I'm glad you caught the problem with your hands and can get it taken care of quickly!
You do have too much to do to just sit around waiting for those hands to heal!! : )

Your Sally Post block is well done. And I like the fabric used for the pot in your header picture.

Hmmmmm. My hands have been giving me fits with aches and pain and soreness which I attribute to plain old arthritis. It hurts to do just about anything. I have an appt. in June to see a rheumatologist for fibromyalgia. I am really hoping I can get some hand pain relief when I see him. If it's carpal tunnel, wouldn't surprise me as I was a transcriptionist for 17 years. Best wishes to you re your surgery.

I'm glad you and the doc figured out what the problem is. My son is also having carpal tunnel surgery that same day! 2nd surgery this time around on his left hand. His right hand was done a month ago. All in all, it's a pretty easy recovery. You'll be back to doing your stitching soon!

Wow - I'll be praying for you Cathy!!! Don't you just hate getting an EMG - that was possibly the worst test I ever had. I get the same things in my hands, but mine is from pinched nerves in my neck that run down my arms. Nobody is going to operate on my neck, lol....
Love your blocks! I can't believe all you get done with needing surgery, girl, you're amazing. Have fun with your family - I hope Ashley wins!!!!
