I wish...That's what the weather man said. But what we got was rain, overcast skies and rain.
Good sewing weather.
Here is the heart log cabin block that I promised to show you when I finished my angel block.
Here's my angel block. I think I only have 4 more blocks to make then the border and I will be able to put my "Primitive Primer" together.
Blocks 13, 14, 15 and 16 of the Farmer's Wife Quilt. So many more to go....
My husband Terry had 4 days off from work. As you know we like to go to the Metro Parks , have a picnic and walk. Even though the weather was not too good we went to Lake Erie Metro Park.
We had our picnic by the water. It didn't rain.
It did rain on our way to the nature center. There we took a walk.
These are the only flowers we came across. But we did come across some wild life.
All and all it was a good day. In between rain drops we had a nice walk, saw some wild life and visited an antique shop and I found a new quilt shop.....finally found the Lil Twister ruler.
So today....Sunshine predicted.....Rain came instead. I'm off to the sewing room to make the latest Barbara Brackman block and try my Lil Twister.
Wishing you a quilty day.
Hugs, Cat

Wish we had some of your rain, but it does make good sewing weather! Enjoy the day.
I love to walk in the woods/nature centers and see flowers and animals... you got some great photos!
Looks like a fabulous day to me, rain and all. You are moving quick on your Farmer's Wife blocks. I am only doing 5 a month so it will take me a LONG time to get this one done.
I'm getting a little sick of this weather too. It's rainy and cold here. Did someone say summer had started? Oh, well, looks like you live in a beautiful part of Michigan and are enjoying it(or maybe I should say making the most of it!).
I think your weather sounds wonderful, at least for a little bit! You will love the Lil Twister! It's so much fun! The hardest part is cutting up the fabric after you've just sewn it together! But the end result is worth it!

Oh you are getting close! Love your angel blocks and heart block.
Primi Primer blocks are looking great. I had so much fun making mine.
Rain or not it looked like a good hike and the animals liked it!
Gorgeous blocks!! I especially love the Mallard pic!! :-)
I have decided when it is cold and rainy here I am just going to come to your blog...I smile everytime that blue sky pops up! Thank you....it is a bonus to have nice things to read on your blog also
Come revel in sunshine in Utah with me and my mom...we are a barren desert when it comes to foliage but the heat will bring a warmth to you soul!!!! And, I so love the greens that you have in your photos due to the rain. Glad you had reprieve for your picnic :). Em
I like your angel. I made one of the angel blocks quite some time ago.
Very pretty pictures. I think I need a nature walk right about now.
I enjoyed those nature photos. Loving all your prim blocks.
