We are starting a new row for our quilt.
This is the corn flower block. I think it is my favorite so far. The yellow parts are suppose to be individual pieces. I chose to make them different. I think the fabric I chose makes it look like corn.
Check out Karen's blog. She does such beautiful applique.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs, Cathy

Oh that fabric does, Cathy--lovely work hugs, Julierose
Your corn shape still very much depicts what the original design was meant to be.....and a whole lot easier to stitch than the little pieces I did. Well done!
Definitely looks like corn! What a fun block!
Cathy ambos bloques son maravillosos
Buena Semana
It also looks very tricky, to me, to do that zig-zag edge! Beautiful job!
Gorgeous! I think it is my favorite so far too!
I would of done your way too---I bet!!!
and don't tell Karen--but I thought these were flowers--not corn--
keep getting better--ok???
enjoy, di
When you can find the right fabric to give the impression you want, why not. Let the fabric design to the work! Your block is wonderful.
Great fabric choice for your corn flower block. It is hard to stitch all those little curves, you did a great job. I always look forward to seeing your next block.
Cathy, this block is fabulous! Your fabric choice is perfect!!
So sorry you’ve been under the weather! Hope you are feeling better now.
Your Christmas projects are really nice! They’ll be ready for next Christmas for sure!
Blessings and hugs!
That is so pretty. A new row.....how exciting!
So neat to have a quilting buddy doing the same project!!! Beautiful block!
I think you made the right choice--I don't think I have the gumption that Karen has to do those tiny pieces! Looks great!
This is wonderful! I like how you and Karen are doing the same quilt but they look so different. You're truly making it your own. I hope you're feeling better!
