It's been hot and humid so I've been staying in the sewing room. Today was so beautiful, 74 degrees and a beautiful breeze. I loved it.
I got another 8 Homestead blocks made. This is supposed to be for a wedding quilt. Well....I went to visit with my grandson and his fiance. They bought a house. The predominate colors are a navy and cream. So I'm rethinking the quilt. I just might keep this one for myself.
I joined in on the Simple Summer Sampler that Gay from Sentimental Stitches is hosting. She posted the first 2 blocks on Facebook on Thursday.
The fabric I'm using is a FQ Bundle called "Blue Barn" by Edyta Sitar. It has my favorites blue, white, cream, tans and browns. Lots and Lots of florals.

Since it was so nice yesterday I sat in the living room by the window with the breeze blowing finishing up my Block C for the Linda Brannock BOM "Flowers". I finished it. Just need to get it ironed ready to reveal on the 15th.
I finished the quilt top for a swap I joined on Facebook. It's a Prim Floral Quilt swap. I love it. Almost wished I could keep it for myself. I'm thinking to make one for myself later.
Starting today I will be on my own for a week. Well, Sammie will be here. She's my sweet little guard dog. Hubby is going to be out of town. I plan on getting 3 quilts sandwiched together. One to hand quilt and 2 to machine quilt. Then I'm hoping to get my Vivid Grid blocks sewn together. Lot's of sewing plans are being made. I hope I can get some of them done.
Thanks for stopping by. I love reading all your comments.
Hugs, Cathy

I decided to pass on Gay's summer quilt blocks. If I were to do a sampler, I would be working on the free "Peace and Healing" blocks I saved. Just not enough time.
I got my flower themed swap piece done and mailed. I look forward to seeing yours since you like it so well. Our tastes are so similar, I will love it....I'm sure.
I love seeing what you are working on. I love the different fabrics you have used. I signed up for the Summer Sampler but I haven't made my blocks yet. I like yours. Hugs,
I vote keep it for yourself, lol - it's looking great! Can't wait to see your reveal on the 15th. Enjoy the peace and quiet this week girl! And stay safe in the storms today.
Personally I think that blue/brown quilt would look great in a cream/navy home. The colors are just different shades of the same color families and it would add a little spark to the room.
Beautiful homestead blocks! The fabrics in the Blue Barn line are amazing--I didn't get a bundle but I bought several.
