I'm Beat

By beat I mean tired.  I had a busy week.  Thursday was our 27th Wedding Anniversary.  We took of and went to Motor City Casino to celebrate.  Wasn't doing to well...then I broke even.  We decided it was time to go.  But I spotted a machine that looked inviting.  "Big Bang Theory"!  And Bazinga...I hit the jackpot 3 times and left with $300.  After that we went out for a nice dinner at Applebee's.  It was a good day.

Friday I decided to clean and rearrange my sewing room.  I wanted to get a new table as my current one was a bit too big.  I was exhausted.  I ended up getting a new shelving unit, a three drawer unit on wheels and an ironing board/hamper combination.  It took 3 days of rearranging to get to where I could sew in there again.  And I still have boxes to go through..

Before this I did get some of my 365 blocks done.

These are blocks 31-40.  A real mix of easy and hard blocks.

And the scrappy version of blocks 31-40.  I'm a bit behind but with all the rearranging of the my sewing room I was to pooped to sew.

I had mentioned last time that I bought some fabric at Mary Maxims.  Here is what I bought.

The fabric on the right will go well with the Sugar Block BOM I am working on.

Well that's it for now.  I'm hoping to spend the day tomorrow sewing.  Hopefully I will have more to show you later this week.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs, Cathy

It will be nice to have your sewing room rearranged and outfitted. And glad you left that casino with more $ than you came with. Now you can have even more fun.

The fabric on the left with the yellow flower looks interesting. I am thinking broderie perse with it.

Winning the $300 dollars made a nice end to your day.

I hope you love your new sewing arrangement! It's so fun to see your 365 blocks in both color ways.

Did you take before and after shots of your sewing room?
You and a couple of other bloggers I follow have me so interested in the 365 Challenge quilt that I started downloading the patterns. Will not be joining in now, but want to make it someday!
Happy Anniversary!

Yay--more money to spend on fabric! It looks like you found some pretty ones at Mary Maxim's--I have some of the one on the far left and used it to back a quilt recently. Happy Anniversary (belated)!

Well Happy Anniversary to YOU, you lucky girl! I'm rearranging's almost midnight and my bed is COVERED with stuff. I really should be sewing, I thought up another pattern last night - this is getting out of hand, lol. But hey, I can actually move around my tables now. Where did you get your ironing board/hamper? I have one too, from Aldi, love it.
