End of the Month

Time to finish showing the balance of my projects.  I'm behind on a few but I do have a some to share.

1.  Celebrating Mary Brown

This was a happy block to work on.  One thing is for sure, working on this quilt is improving my applique skills.

2.  Mrs. Lincoln's Quilt

The two blocks are November's Pieced and Appliqued.  The bottom picture is all the blocks so far sewn together.

3.  Monthly Mini Quilt

I need to sew the binding down and this mini will be done.  The quilting is not so great.  The reason being I got a new sewing machine.  A Janome MC6650.  Lots of stitches and it says I can quilt without a walking foot.  I tried.  I should have used red thread.

4.  New Project

These blocks are each 28" square.  The quilt needs 9 blocks total.  Each block is tones of a different color.  This will be worked on when I have a little extra time on my hands.  The strips are all 2 1/2".  Good think I have lots of strips.

That's it for now.  It's time to start all over again....lol.  Thanks for stopping by, I enjoy the company.

Hugs, Cathy

So many beautiful projects! How exciting to have a new machine. Red thread probably would have been better for your mini, but it's small so great to practice on. Have a wonderful day.

Wonderful to see your blocks all together. I love the pink cornerstones used with your sashing. Cute little angel piece. How fun to get a new machine!!!

Very exciting to have a new machine! And a mini is a great thing to practice on.

Lovely projects! You will love your new Janome. They do take a bit of getting used to, especially if you have been using a vintage machine, but they do a yeoman's job of quilting and binding quilts. Still using my 1951 Singer 201 for piecing but the Janome for everything else.

You've been at again, working hard. Your applique is beautiful and Mrs Lincoln looks awesome altogether.

My favorite block is the first. Reminds me of pinwheels blowing in the wind.

Your Mary Brown block is very pretty. I have not done one but instead have been working on old projects and starting Christmas pieces.

Mrs. Lincoln is progressing nicely. I always enjoy seeing the progress you make on it.

A very nice Mary Brown block. And I really think your Mrs. Lincoln blocks look great together.
Cute little mini. Just take a red Micron Pigma pen and go over the white stitches. :)
Your new blocks are very pretty. Sounds like it will be a fun and colorful quilt.

IT IS NICE TO BE IMPORTANT, BUT IT’S MORE IMPORTANT TO BE NICE.
Those eyes! This rare Russian hairless breed goes by a few names including Russian Donskoy sphynx kittens for sale, Russian Hairless, Don Sphynx, and Don Hairless. Medium-sized, loyal, loving, affectionate, playful and smart are just a few of the reasons this is a much-loved breed. toy poodle for sale Fun fact: unlike the sphynx which gets its hairlessness from a recessive genetic mutation, gets its hairlessness from a dominant gene.
