Slow Sewing

I finished up this months blocks for the Land of Liberty quilt along.  I have all the pieces cut for the Freedom Angel and will applique them later.

I was checking all my project boxes and came across the box containing all the blocks for my Walnut Grove quilt.  I pulled out all the blocks and put together the first 5 rows.

Today I plan on sewing these rows together and try and get the next 5 rows done.  This quilt is going to be 80" x 90".  I'm glad I have air conditioning in my sewing room because it is going to be hot and humid today.  It's going to be even hotter tomorrow.  Good time to get some sewing done.

Thanks for stopping by and stay cool.

Hugs, Cathy

Wow gorgeous stitching!! Yes it's going to be hot...I have to work tomorrow, but mostly I'll be in a nice air-conditioned vehicle, lol!

Your SLOL blocks look great. I love the use of pink in the log cabin/crow block. It feels good to be getting closer to the finish line on this one, doesn't it? Your Walnut Grove quilt will be done in no time too.

Your land of liberty blocks are coming along nicely--what a fun project! It's been super humid here also--I think I'm ready for some autumn temps!

I had forgotten that you had made blocks for Walnut Grove. You will soon have a quilt top done. I have been piecing together plaids for quilt backings. I took five quilts to the shop to be all over quilted. Two more ready to take in. Not all are getting plaid backings.

It's always such fun to "find" the forgotten blocks and projects. They look wonderful too.

Your stars are really pretty too.

Super progress! I must have somehow missed your Walnut Grove quilt, but it is wonderful! 80" x 90" is quite a feet! Stay cool indeed. It is nearly 90 today. Come on Fall!

Your Liberty blocks look great. I'm especially noticing your stars. I'm far behind with SLOL and was trying to make stars today. I guess I had a senior moment because, even though I've made them before, I couldn't seem to get them right today. At least I have four more days but, of course, I've done nearly nothing for August's blocks yet!

Our weather has finally cooled and I'm hoping to get back into my sewing room after a long absence.
