Early American Life Block 7

We are almost half way there.

Today we are sharing the Pineapple block.  Karen is staying real close to the actual pattern where I am doing a simpler version.

I'm planning to add some cross hatch quilting in brown when I finish the quilt.
It's simple but it definitely looks like a pineapple.

Health update.  Sugar levels are coming down....yeah.  I've been going to physical therapy twice a week working on my facial muscles.  My facial features are now more symmetrical.  I can close my right eye and my smile isn't as crooked.  I have two more therapy sessions and I will be done.

Last weekend we got hit with 14" of snow.  What a mess.  Our street was one of the last streets to get plowed.  Cars were getting stuck everywhere.  It's hard to believe that it is suppose to be in the 40's next week.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hugs, Cathy

The Pine apple block looks great & the cross hatch will truly make it look real.
I'm glad your coming along health wise, you'll be fit as a fiddle soon.
I remember snows like that when I lived in New England. I can't say that I miss snow, slush, snow plows & all the rest that goes with it though.
Blessings

So good to know the therapy is doing its thing!
I saw Karen's block--I would have chosen your route, were I to do one. :) The cross-hatch quilting will finish it beautifully!

Checking in after a time away from blogs! Sorry to hear about your Bells Palsy Heath concer, but happy to hear you are improving. Take it slow and easy.

Love your pineapple it's too cute. I'm off to a workshop shortly but will come back and visit again sooner!

Your fabric choice makes the pineapple shape look like a pineapple. I was sorely tempted to simplify too. It was time consuming stitches all those little parts.

I am so glad you are recovering from your palsy and hope you never have a recurrence.

Wonderful to hear that your health continues to improve. The pineapple is sweet and the quilting will add even more character.

I would have had to take your approach to that pineapple block. It looks great!
I hope your snow is slowly melting away. It isn't any fun when it makes a big mess.
