June's "To Do" List

But first....Thursday, May 29, was a good day and a bad day.  The good is that I finished a couple of projects.

I finished sewing my "Strips and Square" top together.  It was really a quick top to make.  It would be a great pattern to use if you had to make a quilt in a hurry.

Thursday evening I finished up appliqueing Block #3 for my Sally post sampler.

I had just finished the block and was going to take it into the sewing room to press it and trim it.  I stood up and fell back down on the chair.  All of a sudden I was feverish, chilling and achy all over.  Just that quick.  I have spent the last 3 days in bed with temps going from 96 to 101.  Today is the first day I have felt like sitting up and feel human again.  I've got to feel better because tomorrow my Daughter is taking me to the Tiger game.  This is my Mother's day gift.

Okay now for my June "To Do" List.

Japanese X Blocks quilt

Make 5 Log Cabin Bow Tie blocks

BOM
1. Sugar Shack
2. Globetrotting
3. Hip Chicks
4. Country Threads
5. Quilt Doodles
6. Aurifil

Make another APQ QAL Block

Make the third set of Common Threads Blocks

Not a whole lot on this month's list.  But I would really like to get some quilts ready for quilting.

I hope you are having a great beginning to June, and thanks so much for stopping by.  I'm hoping to get a little sewing done today.

Hugs, Cathy

Hey that doesn't sound good...did you find the infection source? Hope you are all better soon to enjoy your gift! Love your Sally post block and fun strip quilt!

Wow, that really hit hard, didn't it?
Any fever today? Hope you can make the game! I love our local MLS (major league soccer) team and if someone was taking me to a game and I missed it due to illness, I would be pretty sad!
Strips and Squares turned out fun, and I always love Sally Post blocks. They are so pretty!

Sorry to hear you have been sick.

I told myself I would make a list of projects for June that I would like to accomplish. I still haven't done it. I keep thinking I can do it with a mental list but I think that is a bad idea.

Wow ... that was a quick onset. Sure hope you're over this and are able to enjoy the ballgame!

I love your quilt and that appliqué block - love the fabrics, too!

Good luck on your to-do list for June.

We're on our way to Oregon and I haven't been checking many blogs, but this morning I checked yours and hope you are well and were able to go to the game. I am so impressed with all your projects! I love the pinwheel table topper in your previous post. I've done some sewing in our camper - mainly working on log cabin blocks that finish at about 5". I'm nearly finished with all the blocks I will need - they have been mainly a travel project over the last couple years
