I'm Back

I've missed posting.  However, I have been reading all my favorite blogs.  When last we spoke, I had just been operated on for Bladder cancer.  In November I had an appointment with the Urologist.  I was told that I had low grade, noninvasive Bladder Cancer.  They got it all.  I don't need radiation or chemo, however I need to get a cystoscopy every three months for 3 years. I spent most of November just chilling, no sewing.  Then I decided enough moping I need to get back to sewing.

December was spent finishing quilts for Christmas gifts.  Here they are.

1.  This quilt was for my Son-in-Law Chris.  He is a Seattle Seahawks fan.

2.  This quilt was for my daughter Kelley.

3.  This quilt was for my sister Sharon.  Made with Kaffe Fasset fabrics.

4.  The last quilt was made for my stepson Scott and his wife Amanda.

It felt very satisfying to get these quilts finished.  My plan for this year is to finish at least one quilt a month.

I worked on a few projects before the end of the year.  The first is Autumn Frolic Month 3 blocks.

I even made a mini quilt for December but didn't post it.

That's all I got to work on in December.  I got a bit more done this month and will post again at the end of the month.  Including a mini quilt for January.

Thanks for checking on me, it meant a lot.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs, Cathy

How wonderful that they got all the cancer. I hope the cystoscopy won't be invasive or painful.
It's great you're back to quilting--just where you belong (if that's what you want, anyway).

Oh, that is good news that they got it all and you don't have to go through chemo or radiation!
Look at all you got made for gifts!! I am so impressed. They all look great, but the quilts for your daughter and sister are the ones that call to me.

Wow! Such good news to know you have recovered and are doing so well. You really accomplished a lot of quilty finishes in spite of having health issues. Love the fox and acorns.
