Long Time No See...

I've been quiet this week.  But I've been busy.  I did a lot of hand work.  I finished the first 2 blocks from Bunny Hill BOM.  I will add the buttons after all the blocks are done.  I'm more of a country colors type of gal rather than the pastel look of the original quilt.   But I think it is looking good.

I also worked on my Sunflower quilt.  I sewed 3 1/2" x 2" neutral strips together on the 3 1/2" sides to form borders for the quilt.  I didn't like it at all.  I can't show you what it looked like because I took it all off.  I had to undo some of my applique to do it.

So it's back to square one.  I plan on just adding a single border then reattach the applique.  I'm going to work on this tonight during the "Friday Night Sew In"  You can sign up at: http://www.craftyvegasmom.blogspot.com
You will get a chance to win prizes.  I'm also going to work on the current Thread Head Quilt-a-Long block.

I've got my fabrics picked out for Pat Sloan's Mystery Quilt.  It looks like it is going to be fun.   It has a day at the beach kind of look.

Well we had a few days of sunshine and it was glorious, cold but glorious.  Woke up this morning and guess what?  Not only no sunshine but that 4 letter word.  SNOW.  But it does look nice.  They are the big fat fluffy snow flakes that look like feathers floating.  However, no matter how nice it looks it is still snow.

So stay warm and have a quilty day.  Hugs Cat

Oh hon your Bunny Hill blocks are wonderful! Love that one, I'm saving it - have SO many bom's going on. Your sunflowers are so pretty! Can you tell me more about Pat Sloan's mystery quilt? I LOVE her designs!

No snow here, it's sunny - but we're getting a bit later. Thank goodness the warmth is following it!

I'm doing the Bunny Hill one, too. I just downloaded the second pattern a few days ago. Didn't realize it was out! I will try to get working on it. Your colors do look "country." I thought about doing Pat's, but I have so much going on, I'm just not going to start anything new!
