Closer to the end of this sew along. Dearest Boy has been a very long journey. 2 more 10" blocks and then the center 20" cow block. Here is Block 6D.
I've already used some of the fabric for backgrounds on some blocks. Thanks again Kyle.
The weather here has been hot and humid. Today we got a reprieve...temps in the 79's. A good opportunity to turn off the air conditioners and open the windows. Tomorrow it will be in the 90's. Ugh!
Thanks so much for stopping by

blogs to see what they've been up to.
I entered into a Birthday giveaway that Kyle had on her blog, Timeless Reflections. She had 3 birthday packages and I won the third. It had 2 FQ of fabric, 2 spools of thread and some vintage buttons.

It has been a long journey, but it will be a fabulous quilt. There’s so much work in each block.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful block nice work on these hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteLooks like you chose to applique your compass block like I did. Your block looks very nice, Cathy. I went ahead and did the pieced block to get it out of the way.
ReplyDeleteThe little bag of buttons looks interesting. I can't tell if there area pearl ones in it but seems like there are.
That is just such a gorgeous block!!! I am so happy you won Kyle's giveaway...she is a doll!
ReplyDeleteYour block is beautiful, Cathy. And I think your triangles and their points look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you fussy cut the blue fabric. It really dresses up this block.
ReplyDeleteNice vines down the center of the blue points, and flowers in the red points.
ReplyDeleteDidn't realize there were so few blocks left in this. Must feel good to be closing in on the finish--of the blocks, at least. :)
