Since finishing up my Sweet Land of Liberty quilt top I've felt I needed a new project to take it's place. So I started to go through some books I had lying around. I came across this book.
The flash makes it hard to see the entire cover of the book. The quilt in the background is the one I am going to make.
Here is a better look at the quilt. I'm not going to using the black fabric. Instead I am using a print fabric the same color as the background.
Here are the first 3 blocks. They are 6 1/2" unfinished.
I'm having with these blocks. Of course I had to order new fabric...but oh well we all have to suffer sometimes....lol
I'm feeling so much better. Still have a slight headache and my nose is still sore. I had Xrays taken on Monday and and they showed no broken bones.
My daughter called the other day and asked me to go to Frankenmouth on Saturday. Both my daughters and my oldest granddaughter are going. It should be a good time.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day.
Hugs, Cathy

Glad to hear nothing was broken, and to know you are improving.
ReplyDeleteThose are cute flower blocks. I am interested to see how they look when you bring them together with lighter setting squares.
Good to hear no broken bones for sure!
ReplyDeleteThis new project will be lovely hugs, Julierose
I love Need'L love patterns Maybe I should go get my books out to peruse. This pattern looks like it will be fun and uncomplicated so you can just enjoy the needle time.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness there are no broken bones--I hope the rest of the damage heals quickly! Love your new little project. The applique is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI like the quilt! So happy that you did not suffer any broken bones! Take care next time! Hugs
ReplyDeleteI am sure glad you are feeling better, dear Cathy...and I love your new project!!

ReplyDeleteThat's a great new project. I've always liked those Needle Love books. Have fun at Frankenmouth.
ReplyDeleteFrankenmuth is awesome - enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteGlad there are no broken bones! I think I need that book too, I have most of the others. Your blocks are darling!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear there were no broken bones. I love the new project. Looking forward to watching your progress!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI had to go back and read what had happened. Ouch! So glad that you came out okay.
Need'l Love has put out some great books with so many projects in each. The Folk Art book is not one I have but I do have some others. The flower designs are sweet and prim. Shouldn't be long before you have it completed.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun new project!!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your fall, love dogs but always worry when they get exited around me that I'll trip and fall.
ReplyDeleteLove your project, those books are a favourite of mine, I have several tucked away and will have to drag them out one day.
I think you missed a word...fun..in the sentence below your three block. Probably due to your headache. They are wonderful!
