Okay

It's been a month since I had my surgery on my left hand.  This one has taken longer to heal than the first.  I still have some soreness.  I have been able to get some sewing done.  However, a couple of weeks ago I pulled a muscle in my abdomen.  It has been painful and some days I can't even walk.  Today has been a good day.  I have to wait a couple of weeks taking pain pills and naproxen before I go back to the doctors.  Hopefully this will work.

I got the rows of my Chained Reaction sewn into a top.

I cut out this quilt about 2 years ago and only got one block sewn.  So I am so happy to have finished the quilt top.  I'm hoping to be able to get it quilted soon.

I had decided this is the year to finish up some UFO's.  My next top is a Kaleidoscope quilt.  I made the blocks over a year ago and they were test blocks using my Accuquilt Go.

This is a table topper size.  I am itching to make a full size bed quilt using this die.

My final top is composed of 6" blocks from a couple of projects.

It looks wonky because it is up on the design wall.  The quilt is approx. 36"x50".
I chose a red border because there was so much red in the blocks.

I'm slowly working on some hand applique and I want get some more prepped.  I'm plugging away and trying to get some more UFO's finished.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hopefully I will be posting again next week.

Hugs, Cathy

  2. I was wondering how you were coming along with this second hand surgery. Good seeing a post from you.
You are being good about working on UFO's. Me, I have worked a bit on some but still more interested in the new stuff. I like your assortment of 6 inch blocks. The red frames them well.

  5. Oh my goodness, how in the world did you pull that muscle!!! I have a hernia in my abdomen that gives me fits - but I've learned to live with it and don't try to do too much, lol. Your quilting is just gorgeous - love the red border on the last one! Praying you're fully recovered soon, Cathy!
