Woo Hoo!!

Today I emptied a project box.

This is the 2014 Country Threads BOM.  I had 2 sections of it sewn together.  All I needed to do was make one block and frame another.  Easy right...Don't know what took me so long to put it together.  Oh yeah...Christmas.  This will now be put on the pile of quilts to be quilted.  There are older ones that I want to quilt first.

I machine quilted my Spools Table Topper.  It was an easy job.  I just quilted in the ditch.  I finished sewing down the binding last night while watching Downton Abbey.

Working out with my daughter and watching my diet is finally paying off.  I have lost 6 1/2 lbs since the beginning of December...

I got rid of Google+.  I was having trouble leaving comments and having people contact me.  Just wanted to let you know.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day, keep warm, and be creative.

Hugs, Cathy

  1. Hurrah, congrat's, and well done! Top done, quilt quilted, weight lost, and Google+ gone. Take a deep breath, Cathy, and pat yourself on the back. Those are major accomplishments.

  8. Oh Cathy I love that Country Threads quilt - and the spools, what a great little quilt. I haven't started up again with Downton Abbey, after Matthew died I was too mad, lol. And I never remember it's on. Congrats on your weight loss, wow! I still haven't been on my bike - I know I'd feel lots better if I did, it's just finding the time. Everyone works different shifts and there's usually someone sleeping. The bike is kind of noisy.

Congrats to your daughter on her race - that is quite an accomplishment!!!

  12. Hi Cathy, I love your quilt, you are an amazing quilter and your Spools Table Topper is wonderful, too. We have so much in common, I can not believe it. I'm also dieting; Steve and I started walking in the evening when he gets home from work. I know that it is going to help and even bring back some of the strength we lost with sitting around eating our way through the holidays. It seems like we do that every year. I can't get enough of Downton Abbey; it always seems like the program ends before I'm ready for it to end :)
    Happy sewing!
    Your blogging sister,
    Connie :)
