My 1996 Signature Quilt is finished. It's not perfect...but it won't be entered into a quilt show. It will be hanging in my sewing room. In my haste to finish this quilt and to use up some batting on a roll I had...I used too thick of a batting so it has a puffy look to it.
It looks a little wonky because it is up on my design wall. It feels nice to finish something that has been lingering in my UFO pile for so long.
I finished this month's #Bittyblocks.
I finished this month's #Bittyblocks.
Don't you just love Bow Tie blocks. I can't wait to see what next month's block is. These blocks finish at 3".
I finished the first 10 blocks of Sharon's Super Simple Blocks. Not my usual color combinations. But I'm looking forward to making the next 10 blocks. I will finish up next month.
I want to give a shout out to my daughter Kelley. She ran a 5K race this morning in the cold. The race took place in Detroit. She took up running this year and is doing fantastic. She is also my workout buddy. We go to the gym together and she inspires me. Love you Kelley.
Well stay warm and keep busy. I'm off to the sewing room to get my spool table topper ready to machine quilt. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
Hugs, Cathy
It looks like a great finish. Congratulations to your daughter. That is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the spools.
I tracked down the Bitty Blocks you refer to to see what it is all about. Your little bow ties are cute. I have to give some thought to making some.

Love those little bow tie blocks, they are just darling!
Wow, 10 is a lot of blocks - they all look wonderful, such pretty colors and fabrics for this quilt too!
Your churn dash quilt is unique, and how nice to get such a well-aged UFO done. Your groups of blocks are proof that you've been busy and productive. They all look great.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to reply to the comment you left on my blog, but you came through as a "no reply blogger." If you used a Google+ account to leave comments, your e-mail is hidden. I think that's the reason. I've read about that on other blogs.
BTW, thank you for your comment. Our small quilts will be fun to make. I'm looking forward to seeing what others make as well.
GORGEOUS churn dash quilt! Love it.
ReplyDeleteAnd those bitty blocks? Wow! LOVE them, too. Are you paper piecing them? (You might have said already, but I've got CRA "Can't Remember Anything" - ha!).
Sorry Cathy -- your second comment also came through as a no-reply blogger. Not sure where I've seen instructions on how to change that. Maybe on Lori's Humble Quilts? Wanda on "Exuberant Quilts" wrote --> "Those of you NO REPLY with blogger accounts, go to your profile page, click on the Edit Profile button (top right corner), put a check mark in the box after 'Show my email address,' scroll down and SAVE. If you don't save it, it isn't done. Those of you with Google+, almost all of you are no reply, I wish I could help you but I don't know how to get your email enabled."
