I've been quite because we've been on the road. We went to the Upper Peninsula to visit my son Pat, his wife Courtney and my granddaughter Ashley. Also the trip was to celebrate our 23rd Wedding Anniversary. More on that in a bit.
I'm late on showing these, but here are the quilts I have hanging up this month.
Now for our trip. We lucked out on the weather driving up. It was bright and sunny out when we got to the Mackinaw Bridge.
Although there was quite a bit of snow. We got to my son's on Thursday and another beautiful day. However, Friday there was such a terrible blizzard that we could not leave the house. We had beautiful, but cold weather for the remainder of the weekend. Thank goodness since we had such a long drive on Sunday to Green Bay.
Ashley is 10 years old and quite accomplished. She takes dance lessons, does gymnastics, plays baseball and plays hockey. While we were visiting she had 3 hockey games. One in Marquette (sorry they lost) on Saturday and 2 in Green Bay, WI on Sunday.....YES....they won both games. Ashley got a total of 4 goals and 1 assist.
Now that we are home, I'm working on the latest Scrap Squad Quilt. You need to check out the Quiltmaker's Quilty Pleasures Blog and see my fellow Scrap Squad member, Jackie's quilt. It is beautiful. Mine should be published on their blog soon. I'll let you know soon. Until then.....
Hugs, Cathy

Very nice quilts, Cathy. I need to follow your example and get more rotating quilts in my decor. : )
ReplyDeleteCathy, congrats on the anniversary!!! What a precious granddaughter. If there is one thing I would like to do that I didn't as a child, it would be play ice hockey!!! Way to go Ashley!! Lovely quilts - you continue to inspire me as well as many others.
