Introducing the Scrap Squad

Check out the Quiltmaker Blog Quilty Pleasures by going here and meet Me and my fellow Scrap Squad members.  We should be able to share our first quilt with you shortly.

Yesterday was beautiful here in Michigan so Terry and I took off for a ride.  We ended up at Kensington Metro Park.  The birds were singing and the swans were sleeping.

After we left the park we headed to Brighton to have some lunch.  They have a beautiful park downtown that goes along the river.   And guess what we saw?

It was mostly ice but some open water.  We laughed so hard to see the birds land on the ice and then slide into a bunch of other birds.  It looked like they were bowling.  A duck was trying to walk on the ice but it looked more like skating.

After having lunch out we came home and watched the Super Bowl....well I just watched the commercials.  I loved the dog Doritos commercial.  Too cute.

No quilty news to share but hopefully that will change soon.  I'm sewing labels on a few quilts and will show them later this week.

Have a great day.

Hugs, Cathy

  1. The ice has enough ripple to it that it doesn't look like ice. Seemed like the ducks in your area walk on water on Sundays!

  2. I'll go check out the scrap squad. Too cool! I am in FL right now. Seems like the weather might be better up there (more sunny anyway) than it is down here right now. Figures!

  6. Wasn't it gorgeous yesterday?? Your walk looks so lovely. My aunt called me on her way home from work [she drives past a ton of lakes] and she couldn't believe all the birds out there.
Off to visit the Quiltmaker blog!
