I wonder if they would have been friends....lol
It's the end of the month and time to reveal the next Celebrating Mary Brown block. It is the 3rd block in the second row.
This is the 3rd month of sew along. This particular block took days to finish. I had to keep taking breaks.
I decided to work on Mrs. Lincoln's quilt with Julie.
I am really enjoying it. I like each month there is a pieced block and an applique block.
Be sure to check out the other's blogs. Karen, Julie, Nanette, Jennie, Robin, Rebecca and Nan's friend Jan.
On the health front.... I started Radiation Therapy. I have to do a total of 16 treatments. I have 3 down and 13 to go. The stress is worse than the treatments. At least I don't have to go for a long period of time.
On a sad front we lost my brother Steve this week. He was my baby brother and I will miss him terribly. He is at peace now and in heaven with my Mom and Dad. I will miss you baby brother.....
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs, Cathy

Cathy precioso bloque, mucho trabajo en este.
ReplyDeleteTe envió desde este lado del océano un abrazo siento tu perdida.
Cuídate, hacer todo lo que el medico ordene.
Buen fin de semana.
Oh Cathy so sorry for your loss. I hope you can get through these treatments and get back to normal soon...Prayers for you hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Such a big loss. . . I wish you all the best for your treatments. I'm working on the block you did for this month. It's a little tricky and I have to be in a good frame of mind to work on it. It only gets about 1/2 hour of attention a day. It's too stressful to just do the whole thing all at once. Your block looks terrific.
ReplyDeletePretty Blocks - Am so so very sorry about your brother - you just do not need more! Still thinking of you all the time! Hang in there Hugs
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. I'm glad though to hear your treatments are going well. It's good to have such pretty blocks to work on.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about your brother. You have had a lot of loss in the last year or two.
ReplyDeleteI was not paying attention to the date and forgot to post my Mary Brown update this morning. Just did it. We both did the same block. It took some slow stitching on those curves but worth the effort. Yours looks good.
I’m so sorry about the passing of your brother. My prayers for him and your family. Hugs,
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for the loss of your brother, especially while undergoing your treatments. I'm sure it's very stressful for you. Your blocks are all lovely--glad you are able to do some sewing!
ReplyDeleteOh Cathy, I am so sorry about your brother. How devastating. Hoping you find some solice in your quilting. A good friend (not the one I mentioned before) is going through radiation and I'm aware its no picnic. Bless you, and another big virtual hug! You are a trooper, my dear.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I'm so sorry about the loss of your brother. I hope quilting/applique/piecing is helping to ease your soul a bit.
ReplyDeleteCathy, I am so sorry for your sorrow in losing your brother. Hugs! Love your quilt blocks and hope the stitching brings you some solace.
ReplyDeleteLove all of your blocks. It is good to have a more difficult block in the finished queue. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your brother's passing, Cathy.
ReplyDeleteHope your treatments just fly by--or at least seem to. :)
Beautiful work--your blocks really look lovely!
That is a very challenging applique block... you are doing so well to be able to do all that stitching after your surgery!
ReplyDeleteMy condolences on the loss of your brother... I miss mine terribly and can't even believe I have lived 6 years without him now.
Oh Cathy I am so sorry for your loss - I will keep your family in my prayers, hon. May God give you comfort, my friend. Praying as well for your treatments...my heart is breaking for you. Big hugs and prayers....
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear of the loss of your brother. My sister passed away in early Oct. (she was 11 yrs. older than me). Hope your radiation treatments pass quickly and uneventfully and get their job done!
