Dearest Boy

Block 1A

I will not lie.  This was not an easy block.  It gave me nightmares..really!  I would wake up in the middle of the night and worry about getting this block done.

I got a sneak peak at Karen's block.  I thought she was sending me a photo of the original block.  She's good.

I've emailed Julie and she felt the block was hard too.  Needless to say I can't wait to see her block.

Without further ado here is my humble block.

I did a simpler version.  I also used blue instead of red.  I'm happy with the results and once finished I had a really good nights sleep.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs, Cathy

  1. Your blue fabric looks very familiar. I think I have had a small piece of it somewhere along the line. You use a lot of blue and must have a good stash of that color.
We made it through block #1. Hurray! Good thing block #2 is much easier.

  2. Hello! I ran across the quilt Dearest Boy, but have not been able to find the booklet for sale on the Internet. I am sorry to bother you with this, but, I was hoping I might be able to ask you where the pattern booklet is available for sale? I see you are a group of quilters working on the quilt. It’s so lovely. Your work is beautiful. My grand daughter and I applique together and I thought she would love this as much as I do!
I appreciate any information you could give me. Thank You So Much!
