It's a Finish

My first start and finish of 2016.

I finished my tumbler quilt.  The backing is a light gray and I used it for the binding.  Not real fond of the gray as a binding.  But...my goal this year is to shop from my stash and that was the only yardage I had.  Not too much flannel in my stash.

Now I'm off to the sewing room to get caught up on the 365 block a day.

Stay warm and get some quilting done.

Hugs, Cathy

  1. Nice quilt! I don't mind the gray binding. We are so used to seeing something dark , that the light is a nice change of pace.

  2. I love this! And I think the gray works. I totally understand going with something I have instead of buying something new. That makes it a great choice!

  3. What a great start and finish! Glad you had a piece that you could use for the binding and backing that came from your stash. It pays to shop locally, i.e. Your sewing room.

  11. Hi Cathy, Great quilt. I love that you are using your stash. This quilt looks like it will be a favorite for cuddling up with on a cold winters night.
