My first start and finish of 2016.
I finished my tumbler quilt. The backing is a light gray and I used it for the binding. Not real fond of the gray as a binding. But...my goal this year is to shop from my stash and that was the only yardage I had. Not too much flannel in my stash.
Now I'm off to the sewing room to get caught up on the 365 block a day.
Stay warm and get some quilting done.
Hugs, Cathy
Nice quilt! I don't mind the gray binding. We are so used to seeing something dark , that the light is a nice change of pace.
ReplyDeleteI love this! And I think the gray works. I totally understand going with something I have instead of buying something new. That makes it a great choice!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great start and finish! Glad you had a piece that you could use for the binding and backing that came from your stash. It pays to shop locally, i.e. Your sewing room.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! A start and finish in less than a month--impressive.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great, Cathy. Nothing wrong with a grey binding. : )
ReplyDeleteGreat to get a finish this early in the year, Lovely colourful fabrics from your stash .Looking wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should shop from each other's stash for my variety. LOL!
ReplyDeleteyay! congrats - I'm shopping at home as much as I can this year too!
ReplyDeletethe pops of that blue are great!!
Great finish--I am also hoping to shop in stash
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Fabulous Cathy!
