Did You See Noah?

The movie that is.  I did and was not impressed.  I think the rock people threw me off.  But I think we need Noah now.  It's been raining for days and we are expecting more.  We are going camping July 1 thru July 5.  And guess what...yep more rain.  Oh well.  I guess I need to bring some hand work or my featherweight.

I did finish up a quilt top.

This little quilt is going to be perfect for either a wall hanging or table quilt.  It measures 30" x 36".  I had some plaid and striped charm squares.  I have a die for my Accuquilt Go Cutter that cuts 2 pieces from a charm square that  measure 2" x 3 1/2" each.  Then I divided the pieced into light and dark.  I chose different blacks for the light pieces and different golds for the dark.  I think it looks like the quilt was woven together.

I finished the 25 blocks for Cheri's sew a long and plan on cutting the sashing for the blocks today.  Hopefully I will have a photo tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by.  Stay dry.

Hugs, Cathy

  1. I love that quilt! Gorgeous fabrics and wonderful pattern. I would love a die like that. I don't recall ever seeing it when perusing their dies. I must go search for it now.

  2. Yes, I was rather put off by many things about the Noah movie. Too much 'Hollywood license' taken IMHO! We've gotten a break of late from the rain so no need for Noah at present. Hope you get your camping trip in..so many areas around here are still flooded (not good with July 4th weekend coming up!).

  3. I saw Noah and was very disappointed. Great cast but it was Star Wars vs the Bible and it fell flat. Now, on to good things...your darling quilt. Love the colors and fabrics you used.

  4. I didn't see it - I prefer to get my bible stories from the bible, lol. I knew Hollywood would mess it up! I love that little quilt hon, it does look like it's woven!

  5. The pattern does look like your quilt is woven. Really nice. Maybe the sun will peek out for most of your camping trip.

  6. I cut out a bunch of strips a while back for a rail quilt similar to yours. My seams varied too much and I ended up with crooked blocks. Still in a bag waiting for me to fix them or toss them out.

  8. I'll trade you some hot sun for your rain! We're too hot here. Ugh. We've had almost no rain in June, which is almost unheard of for Washington!

Love your quilt - it does look woven!

  13. That Noah movie was one of the dumbest movies ever. We watched it on Netflix. Glad I didn't pay good money to see it.
Send some of that rain to NC. We need it bad!
