46 Years Ago Today....

I gave birth to my son Patrick.  And as today it was snowing up a storm.  I don't know how he got so old...I'm on 39...lol.  I hope you have a wonderful day Pat.

I've been busy working on a baby quilt for Ella.  She is due in May.  So I have got much to show you today.  However...

I know I'm late for the party but I started Jeni From the Willows Sew-a-Long. Here is Part 1.

I grabbed one of my box of scraps and had some fun.  I've printed up Part 2 and hope to start it soon.

I've been working on the Feb Quiltmaker's Bitty Blocks.  I haven't gotten them all done but had to take a break from them.  They  are very time consuming.

These blocks are 4" finished.

Finally I have chosen a UFO to work on.

These blocks date back to around 1997.  I made the top left block.  The rest I received in a block swap.  I'm hoping to get it to the flimsy stage.

A reminder that I am hosting a GIVEAWAY sponsored by Connecting Threads. They are offering a charm square pack to 3 of my US or Canadian followers.  To enter click here to enter.  Only comments on the original post will be entered. It stopped snowing here but now we have freezing rain.  A good day to stay inside keeping warm and getting some quilting done on Ella's quilt.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Hugs, Cathy

  5. Happy birthday to your son! Mine are 38 and 42 - and I'm wondering how they got to be MY age!

Love your sew-along pieces - so charming!

Your Bitty Blocks are so cute, but I just imagine how intense they must be.

Your UFO is so pretty. Have fun getting it together. It's so rewarding to finish an older project.

  10. LOL I had to take mum to the eye dr. that day - some guy lost control of his car right in front of me. Thank goodness it didn't last long, John didn't have any trouble getting home, and my other son didn't have any trouble getting to work in the afternoon. I was the only one out in the thick of it, lol.
Holy cow those baskets are tiny - I can see why they'd be time-consuming!! I really like your colors in the new sew-along, and your UFO is so so pretty!!
