Happy New Year!!!

I wonder how many blogs will have this as the title of their blog....

Well I am looking forward to this new year.  2014 ended with me being sick the last couple of months.  I've been congested, sneezing, coughing and eyes tearing up.  Here's too to better health for the New Year.

I made a New Year's Resolution.  I'm not going to get involved in a zillion BOM's like I did last year.  I still have some, who am I kidding, to finish.  So I resolve to finish up projects from last year.

First up is to finish hand quilting my Henrietta Whiskers quilt.

As you can see I finished the top in 2013.  Sandwiched it up in 2014 and started quilting it off and on during the year.  I have quilted the bottom 2 rows. I am hoping to get this quilt done this month because I have.......

33 large quilt tops to be finished and 11 small quilt tops.  I have 6 small quilts sandwiched and want to start quilting them.

Most  of these boxes has a project that I started in 2014.  I'm hoping to empty most of them this year.  Some are on going projects that I am sure won't get finished any time soon....Like my Dear Jane quilt.

This is one of the projects in my project boxes.  Yesterday I made the bottom right had block.  I need to make 6 more blocks so I can finish this.

I want to wish you all a Very Happy New Year.  I hope you keep all your resolutions and have a prosperous year.

Hugs, Cathy

  4. I like your Henrietta Whiskers quilt. I also like your organization of your UFOs. Great job. Good luck on finishing UFOs in 2015. Finishing was a goal of mine in 2014. I will continue this goal in 2015 (especially since I did not get many UFOs finished last year).

  7. If you are able to hand quilt those 44 quilt tops in 2015, I need to know your secret. ;-) Hope you have a healthy and productive 2015.

  8. You are organized with your projects in the works. More so than me and I probably have as many quilts in the works. It is so easy to be drawn into new block of the months at the beginning of the year. I am trying to be selective by waiting a bit to see what I really, really like.

  13. Looks like a busy 2014 and a busier 2015 to finish them up. Nice thing about quilting is that they are beautiful in whatever stage and sometimes even prettier when they age a little in the sewing room before being finished.

Your getting me into trouble already though Cathy, I saw on a recent post of yours about Huckelberry Stitches small quilt a month. I signed up for it.
