First the blocks.
These are the May blocks for Country Threads BOM.
A Forgotten Project.
I had mentioned a while ago I was commissioned to make a memory quilt. The quilt is made up of leaf blocks and log cabin blocks with a photo in the center. I started working on the leaf blocks a while ago and then got busy with other projects. I even forgot to put it on my to do list. Over the weekend I got the photos for the log cabin blocks so I really need to get my butt in gear and get it done. This and a dozen other projects. Autumn is the favorite season of the girl this quilt is being made for. I hope she likes it.
And now for I WON.
As you know every month I link up with Carrie at "A Passion for Applique" for UFO Busting. I have been getting a lot of older projects finished by doing so.
Each month you pick 3 UFO's you want to finish. You need to get at least one finished. You get a chance to win a nice prize. Well guess what???? I won for the month of April. I won a pattern, 2 FQ and $20 gift certificate from The Raspberry Rabbits.
Here is the fabric and pattern....
The above 2 patterns are what I picked from Michelle's shop. They both work up to 12" x 12" and will be perfect for my standing quilt holder. The squirrels are just a pattern. The Christmas tree is a kit.
I purchased this package of Autumn color wool felt to use for the Squirrel block.
And Michelle sent me this as a gift.
A piece of gray wool felt, a pen, 2 pieces of Dove Raspberry Chocolate (it was delicious) and a wonderful card. You really need to check out her patterns.
Well, my eyes are blood shot and I have a headache. I'm proofing a pattern for a friend. She is so talented. So I'm taking some pain pills, starting dinner, and then doing nothing for the rest of the evening.
Wishing you a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by.
Hugs, Cathy
