I haven't been doing to much lately, just lurking, reading a few blogs.
I have worked on some applique and hand quilting. Nothing really ready to show you yet.
I've had an infection in my leg and am on antibiotics and have had to keep off my feet. Normally that wouldn't bother me but I can't sit at my sewing machine.
I'm all set to start a year long Bee at 15 minutes play. And we have been asked to say what has inspired us to quilt.
My inspiration comes from new family members, nature, photos, books, Alzheimer's, holidays, friendship and fabric.
Here are some of my original works from my inspirations. I hope you enjoy.
What inspires you?
Hugs, Cathy

Sorry to hear you have been ailing.
ReplyDeleteI think your water lily quilt is my favorite of the ones you posted.
What inspires me to quilt are the old, traditional patterns and vintage quilts. That is not what I always make, but it is what draws me to quilting and keeps me there.
Hate to hear you've got an infection and have to be on meds for a cure... and that you can't sit up to sew...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your water lily... gorgeous... I want to dive in and float along with it!
I started making quilts for family b/c no one I ever heard of in my family quilted and because I want people I love to be warm. I am a piecer (rather than a quilter) and love putting fabrics together!
So sorry to hear about your leg. I hope you up and running around soon.
ReplyDeleteI get inspired by other bloggers. Too much sometimes. LOL!
Hope you are feeling better soon! I love all your quilts, but the floral art quilts are very inspiring. I am inspired by all the talented quilters I follow in blogland...sometimes too inspired. I want to make them all!
ReplyDeletehope you are up and at'em soon! I love your pink poppy quilt! I had not seen that one!
ReplyDeleteWow, Cathy, you inspire me. What great quilts you have created.
ReplyDeleteHope your leg gets better real soon.
Sorry that have not been feeling good and hope you feel better soon!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove all your quilts....What inspires me is all of my blogging friends like you!
:) Carolyn
Hope you start feeling better!!! Sometimes lurking is good therapy! :-)
ReplyDeletei am inspired every single morning when i open my eyes and see that tiny litte 'Hope' quilt hanging on my wall. i feel SO lucky to have it as my own and to have been able to give to the AAQI at the same time. thank you Cathy~!
ReplyDeletei'm going to be in a similar health situation soon (minus the infection i hope). my hip replacement surgery will be in the second week of October . . . it will be good to have a hip that functions properly without pain but am concerned about how all will go. pretty sure i'll be doing a lot of lurking myself for a few weeks.
i hope that you are feeling much better very soon Cathy.
:-)
